Stephen Neiman, founder and president of the company, is the project manager, course designer, and principal instructor. With nearly 40 years of experience training adults, he is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in all the stages and activities in program design, development and delivery - from needs analysis through presentation to final course evaluation.
Stephen was a Learning and Organizational Development Consultant with the federal government between 1986 and 1999, employed by Immigration Canada and Agriculture Canada. During that period he designed, managed and facilitated a wide variety of leadership development and personal development programs ranging in length from a half-day workshop to six-week training courses.
Diversity has always been a personal interest and commitment and Stephen's employment experience became more focussed in that field as diversity-related topics gained prominence in the training priorities of the federal government. While with Immigration Canada he designed and developed a three-day cross-cultural training program and delivered it over an eight-year period to countless Immigration Officers across Canada. With Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada he designed and delivered the department's two-day "Leading a Diverse Workforce" training program for middle and senior managers.
In 1999, Stephen left the federal government and devoted himself full time to his company and to the field of diversity.
As the company's project manager, Stephen is responsible for all aspects of managing projects, including client liaison, supervision of and contact with instructors, completion of the work, and contractual and financial management.
As the corporate training designer, he develops every detail of our custom-designed diversity courses and workshops, which are consistently well-received and highly rated. He has designed and developed courses in many diversity-related subjects such as cross-cultural awareness and communication, human rights, harassment prevention, bias-free staffing, employment equity, duty to accommodate, and anti-racism.
Stephen's teaching style is interactive and engaging. His ability to facilitate constructive classroom discussions, in what are sometimes highly charged issues, often brings participants to new realizations.
Many of our clients return to us again and again for Stephen's high-quality and on-point programs. Some of our long-term clients include the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, the City of Ottawa, Queen's University, Public Safety Canada and the Office of the Auditor General of Canada.
